Player Information:
20th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship Entrants

Thank you for your entry into the 20th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship, July 12-13, at Centennial. Enclosed you will find your starting time for the first round on Saturday, July 12th. Upon the completion of Saturday’s round, the field will be repaired by gross score for the final round, on Sunday, July 13th. The women’s division will tee off first on Sunday, with starting times beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please check the OGA website at www.oga.org or call the following phone numbers; 503-989-0069 or 541-548-8296 on Saturday evening for the final round starting times.
Practice Round: Players may call the Centennial Golf Club, 541-826-8225, at anytime to make practice round arrangements. Players are eligible for practice rounds at a rate of $39. These times are available on a first come first served basis and players must make arrangements seven days prior.
Course Yardage: The men will play from the Black Tee Markers and the women will play from the GreenTee Markers. Course yardages for both the men and women are attached, please note these yardages are subject to change by the Committee.
Practice Range: The driving range will be open at 7:00 a.m. each day during the championship. Warm up range balls will be made available to contestants prior to each round courtesy of the OGA.
Automotive Transportation: Players may use automotive transportation. Carts will be reserved on a first come, first served basis according to your response on the entry form. Cart fees must be paid by the contestant at the time of rental.
FOOTWEAR: Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition) or spikes, regardless of design, where metal may come into contact with the course are prohibited during a stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.
OGA DRESS CODE: Proper attire must be worn at all times. Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind. Neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts are acceptable, as are sweaters and golf shirts with a collar. Shoes must be worn at all times. Competitors in violation of this policy will not be permitted to begin play and may have their entry revoked should a violation occur before the close of competition. In addition to the competitor, a player’s caddie is also required to adhere to the OGA Dress Code.
TIME OF STARTING: Optional condition is in effect as prescribed in Appendix I in the Rules of Golf.
GOLF BALLS: Optional condition for “Conforming Golf Ball” is in effect as prescribed in Appendix I in the Rules of Golf.
GOLF CLUBS: Optional condition is in effect as prescribed in Appendix I in the Rules of Golf.
OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: will be in effect during the championship. Pace of play guidelines are included and will be available before each round at the starter’s tent.
Score Posting: will be done by the OGA for each round after the championship has been completed. The OGA will post each player’s adjusted score to GHIN as a tournament score, for handicapping purposes.
Format and Prizes: 36-hole stroke play competition with a Men’s and Women’s division. Prizes will be given on the basis of Gross and Net finish within each division. The Gross Champion in each division will also receive a trophy.
Cancellations: It is extremely important that you contact the OGA office, 503-981-4653, as soon as possible if you are forced to withdraw from the championship. We expect all entrants to complete their rounds and fulfill their playing obligations.
Lodging: Rooms have been blocked under the “Oregon Golf Association” at the Holiday Inn Express in Medford. Rooms may be reserved at The Holiday Inn Express 541-423-1010 at a rate of $104 per night plus tax. Please visit the OGA website at www.oga.org for more lodging information in the Medford area.
